“Making” has been my way in life. When I discovered hand weaving, which offers endless possibility of color and texture, I was hooked. Creating garments......sensual and dramatic.....has held my interest for over 25 years. I use fine materials, do most dyeing and embellish garments with shibori-dyed silk, kantha stitch and silk stained with leaves and flowers.

Wearing handwoven cloth is a pleasure enjoyed by humans for over 6000 years. I have met weavers in Japan, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Burma and India. Artisans around the world continue this venerable craft.
